We got to preview Temple Coffee’s 7th location…

Exciting news! Temple Coffee is opening their 7th store, this time located in East Sac. Specifically, 4201 H St. near 42nd St…. The best part? There’s parking!

The official grand opening is TOMORROW, but we got a sneak peek yesterday evening at their soft opening party.

Here’s the scoop: their doors officially open bright and early at 6 am tomorrow. If it’s anything like their 16th St. opening, expect people to show up early and be prepared to wait in a long line. We wouldn’t be surprised if they were offering free merch (cute Temple tumbler anyone?) to the first customers in line. Don’t feel like waiting? Show up in the late afternoon for a less crowded visit.

This location will be open from 6 am to 8 pm, 365 days of the year. The shorter hours, we assume, are due to its more residential neighborhood. They have a parking lot in front and 2-hour street parking is available nearby as well.

This location is BIG. You won’t have trouble finding a seat here, they are definitely competing with their K St. location in terms of size! Their signature specially-made, extra-long table cuts through the center seating area, with booth seating against one wall, and bar seating against the window. If you’re lucky, you might be able to snag the comfy armchairs in the corner. Want to enjoy the warmer weather we’ve been getting as of late? Bring your pup and relax on their spacious and charming patio, lit with string lights and decked out with a bunch of cute plants. Pro-tip: ask the baristas nicely and they’ll bring out water bowls and give your pup a free dog treat or two!

Have a sweet tooth? Check out their gelato menu, which is made by Sacramento local shop, Devine Gelateria. Their flavors include Blueberry Lavender, Bourbon Brown Sugar, Chocolate Chocolate Chip (vegan), & Espresso Chocolate Chip (vegan). Try it in the form of an Affogato, Nitro float, or on its own. Unlike Temple’s K St. location, you can also get a waffle cone for an additional charge. We tried a (generous) scoop of the Blueberry Lavender, an affogato with the same flavor, & an affogato with Bourbon Brown Sugar shown below. Everything we tasted was delicious, but the Blueberry Lavender gelato was by far our favorite! ORDER IT, you can thank us later.

Besides the sweets, they’ll also be offering their usual fare. Espresso drinks, drip coffee, a large assortment of teas (yes, matcha too) and the like. Pour overs will also be served at this location, but you’ll have to hit a different location for a French press. Cold Brew, Nitro, and sparkling water are also available on tap if you need something to cool you down. Freshly baked pastries will be available and made by our local Estelle Bakery & Sugar Plum for those who are vegan or gluten-free.

Check out this new shop & let us know what you think in the comments!
