‘Tis the Season to Shop Local

So it’s 11 days before Christmas and you’ve got the short end of the Secret Santa stick. Not knowing what to get your colleague whom you’ve only spoken to twice in the break room since they started there in May, is a struggle we all understand. So we’ve compiled a great list of local shops where you can find even you mother-in-law’s sister a fantastic gift.

Dubbed by one Yelp reviewer as the “Biggest little shop in Sacramento” and we think that sums it up nicely. If you are looking for one spot where you can find a gift for anyone on your list, this is it. From profane coasters and cheeky gift cards to chic earrings and niche notebooks, you’ll find something you never knew you needed. The prices are reasonable and the customer service is excellent. If you’re having a bad day, head on over to Strapping. Susan, the owner, is bound to put a smile on your face and possibly a popsicle in your hand! Susan really sets the bar high for a business owner and has a great eye for gifts.

TLDR: Visit Strapping if you’re short on time, have a sense of humor, not sure what to buy, on a budget, looking for something unique, or just want a little pick-me-up!

It’s the holidays! If you haven’t had a great hot cocoa this season, you’re not living up to your full potential. Make sure to get yourself one of their delicious hot chocolates and head on over to the fab forties for some festive cheer. While here, pick up a quick and crowd-pleasing gift of their house-made hot cocoa mix and a marshmallow baton, or if you want to make a statement, purchase the delicious truffles or macarons but beware, they cost a pretty penny.
