Podcasts to Follow to Stay Educated and Informed About Social Issues of Today

Podcasts to Follow to Stay Educated and Informed About Social Issues of Today

In today’s climate it is more important than ever to be constantly educating ourselves about the social issues and injustices that are happening in our communities for decades. It is important as educated consumers to seek information to educate ourselves on how to be better advocates for our neighbors and friends in order to live in a society where we can all feel free and comfortable to be who we are. In this day and age of Internet and technology ignorance is a choice, but it can be hard to find a starting point to start educating yourself so that you can have tough conversations about these issues in society. We should never cease to learn and educate ourselves about the world around us because this is the catalyst for change. I know I am guilty of turning on Netflix or browsing Instagram for the thousandth time of the day just because I am bored. I was thinking that even though social distancing has been hard it also has given us the time to slow down, reflect and realign our priorities. I challenged myself to unplug from the Internet and TV and focus on caring for myself and being okay with being alone. Here are some of the things I have been doing the past week to care for myself.

Alternatives to Going to the Gym While Social Distancing

There is a lot going on right now in the midst of COVID-19 and many businesses are closing, operating in very limited capacity and having employees work from home. This post is meant to provide some positivity, empowerment and to help fight being stir crazy during this time.
